Kgroup, sponsor of ATMOsphere Ibérica

This first round of ATMO workshops for Spain and Portugal will discuss the opportunities for natural refrigerants in Spain and Portugal

ATMOsphere is the generic name given to a series of interactive workshops promoting the use of natural refrigerants in industry. These annual events bring together the managers of the leading companies in the refrigeration and air-conditioning sector, as well as governmental representatives from different countries.

To date, the ATMO has held these events on a continental level and in some specific countries such as China, Japan, Australia or the United States. The organisers considered it of interest to locate one of their workshops on the Iberian Peninsula where thought will be given to the possibilities of implementing natural refrigerants in Spain and Portugal. Specifically, there will be discussions on regulation and standards, market trends, debate panels and case studies on technology performed on the Peninsula in relation to natural refrigerants.

ATMOsphere Ibérica will take place on 24 October 2017 at 9:30 am in the AC Hotel, Atocha in Madrid. Kgroup will be taking part in this event under their brand names Koxka y Kobol, with their collaboration as a Silver Sponsor.

Kgroup, leading the way in respect for the environment

Both the sponsorship and participation in ATMOsphere is a logical consequence of putting the Kgroup’s values into practice. The managers of this company from Navarre consider that respect for the environment is, fortunately, a route with no return. Achieving maximum efficiency with refrigerants that do not damage the ozone layer or contribute to global warming is one of the challenges. In fact, Kgroup offers a wide range of remote cabinets for commercial refrigeration, prepared for subcritical/transcritical CO2 systems, as well as evaporators and condensers for subcritical CO2 systems. Moreover, in the near future the company will launch a new generation of plug-in cabinets with R290 as the refrigerant, with substantial energy savings. In turn, a new range of CO2 gas coolers is being developed for transcritical systems.

Kgroup has, for some time now, been encouraging various parties in the refrigeration sector to take respect for the environment further and make it compulsory at a European level. Once more, our own demands will continue to ensure that the company group from Navarre remain leaders in terms of product.
