The METCASH SUPERMARKETS & CONVENIENCE EXPO 2017 took place at the Gold Coast Convention Center located in the south coast of Queensland Australia, from the 16th to 18th of July. This major event, that becomes the focus of all the Australian independent grocery retail businesses which attracts six thousand attendees. Kgroup has once again supported and participated in this major event, with a substantial amount of display cases for the retailers to see on display first hand.

Kgroup’s contribution within this event was, on one hand, through an exhibition stand, where the Koxka product being displayed, attracted great interest with information being requested amongst many visitors during the three days of the show. Customers could compare the build quality and the refinement of the European products with many customers commenting on the robustness of the products and feedback of the longevity of the display cases for those retailers that have had the Koxka products preforming extremely well for decades within their stores.

On the other hand, this year Kgroup was selected to supply a major part of the Koxka products to be utilised to preserve the fresh perishable products being displayed in the live “fresh” area, with more than twenty Koxka display cases dedicated to preserve frozen, refrigerated and hot products. With an extensive range of various display cases, operational and filled with a spectacular display of fresh arranged of enticeful products. This allowed retailers to visualise the equipment with a replication of a true supermarket environment within the main exhibition area. Kgroup’s success in this event once again demonstrated the high acceptance and quality awareness of Koxka award winning products within Australia.

With the rise of power rates within Australia a large interest on energy consumption took place this year with a high focus on glass door medium temperature display cabinets, which are becoming more and more requested to reduce the increasing energy costs, normally faced in the supermarket retail sector. Kgroup had there impressive Koxka Daylight glass door cabinet on display in both the fresh area and within their stand where they worked together with Coca Cola to display their product with excellent lighting distribution ensuring that the merchandising was displayed at its premium. With utilization of Koxka’s unique designed frameless glass door, ensured that the products on display looked as impressive behind a door as it would without, even within a challenging higher humidity region of Australia. Accompanied with the capability of supplying high energy efficient products, capable of operating on environmentally friendly C02 systems with the lowest global warming potential impact.

Additionally, on display was the Koxka Kompo S island merchandiser that has been embraced by the independent market all over Australia. The most common merchandised product within the Kompo S has been for the display of prepackaged Cheese which is becoming ever so popular in the local market. With such a small footprint and the flexibility to expand and relocate easily, makes this merchandiser ever so popular, especially during the expo.

A huge interest also took place to the Koxka VPR service counter series, in particular with the specifically designed and engineered Deli/Meat counter to accommodate the local independent market needs and requirement. With a major focus on having the best aesthetically looking service counter with the best possible temperature control, alongside with a technically designed evaporator coil with specific channeled airflow, ensuring that product dehydration is avoided -improving in 50% the weight loss due to dehydration-  with the preservation of merchandise kept to its optimum level. Once again, the Koxka VPR was a clear winner in demonstrating its performance with no condensation visible on such challenging conditions -up to 80% ambient RH-, ensuring perfect product visualisation.
